Our Checkmate design is inspired by the traditional symbols and motifs used in Armenian and Turkish woven fabrics. Stylised representations show a mix of protective symbols- concentric diamonds illustrate an evil eye to ward off misfortune, a bird in flight signifies good news, grains and fruit represent abundance and fertility, an abstracted ying-yang shows harmony. This design is infused with offerings of union protection and devotion, drawing from the ancient wisdom found in our own heritage.
