The term ‘Redwork’ comes from a form of American embroidery which our design is inspired by. Originating in the 19th century, Redwork was traditionally stitched in red as this was the first commercially available colourfast dyed thread- hence the name. Each motif has been hand drawn and represents an aspect of our familial heritage combined with wishes for the future- an invocation to everyone who sits around our table to enjoy not only good food but also good fortune.
